An initiative to operationalize the strategic business planning process. The process formalized specific business planning events and provided how these events feed into each other to culminate into an aligned business vision. Result: Corporate interlock and alignment at the strategic level directly benefited business unit investment planning around the Annual Operating Plan and corporate rallying around vision. This greater understanding on what was important, why decisions for direction were being made and a greater synergy between all cross-functional organizations resulting in a ~20% improvement in efficiency as measured by PMO KPIs.
