An initiative to transform the software development processes associated with operating system and application development from a Waterfall process to an Agile process with a goal of achieving greater responsiveness to customer requests and market changes. Using the DMAIC approach, established clear corporate problems, goals and definitions of success used to engage several consulting vendors for the corporate transformation.
Result: Piloted the Agile development on several “software only” product families resulting to an accelerated time to market of 25% based on waterfall only historical data. Full corporate rollout interrupted by corporate acquisition.
