An initiative to assess the ROI associated with Country and Business Certifications for specific product families versus the actual in country revenue associated with those product families. Architected and developed with a third party a tool used by compliance to track certification expiry dates as well as initial certification dates to enable products to accelerate the sales in targeted geographies. Established a yearly review of the performance of Sales in specific countries to determine if the business case justified the continued investment.
Result: A saving of $50M over a five-year period by the elimination of certification in countries with little sale traction.
